Help Us Fund LGBTQ+Inclusivity Programs!

Pride Center of Vermont (PCVT) is the region’s most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and the health and safety of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) Vermonters. PCVT was started in 1999 by a group of Vermont undergraduate students. Originally named RU12? Community Center, the group worked from their kitchen table, where they answered phone calls and planned events for the LGBTQ+ community. The Pride Center was completely run as a volunteer organization until 2002, when the first Executive Director was hired. Today, we have seven core programs, a broad range of social groups, remarkably successful events, a proud history of fighting for some of the strongest and earliest LGBTQ rights in the country, and a Center space that draws LGBTQ Vermonters from across the state.

The Pride Center’s programs and services strive to meet the distinct socioeconomic, health, and safety needs of our LGBTQ+ community. Our drop-in resource center, community meeting spaces, 3,000-volume lending library, David Bohnett Cyber Center, and social events all help build community and create increased access to information and resources for all our members. Community members are also able to access the Vermont Queer Archives, which preserve VT’s unique LGBTQ+ history, at our South End (Burlington) location.

Just Food Hub

We are raising awareness in our local communities about real organic and fair-traded food, worker coops, and corporate consolidation in the food system. Our products include high-quality and affordable artisan food like coffee, chocolate, tea, cheese, and hot sauce from cooperative farms in the Global South and small US organic farms.

Just Food Hub’s mission is to offer community groups, like the Pride Center, a regular fundraiser for their valuable work in our communities. We do this by selling these wonderful foods online and giving the profits to the community group. The Pride Center receives 25% of all purchases when you click Pride Center at checkout. We offer free delivery of your purchases in 18 towns including Barre, East Montpelier, Marshfield, Montpelier, and Plainfield and can ship them elsewhere for a $10 charge.

Just Food Hub collaborates with Equal Exchange, a worker coop that develops a noncapitalist people-centered food system that brings food justice and integrity to the US family table. Equal Exchange endorses organic and sustainable farming practices and democratic and worker-owned farming cooperatives throughout the Global South, Palestine, and the United States.

In addition to helping you eat well and building strong local economies and community groups, we are working to address the climate crisis and food insecurity. Join us and be the change you want to see in the world.

Orders of $75 or more will come in a free natural cotton shopping bag.
